I had no idea that the title of this story was the same title as one in my literature book for school. Although, I did know that the title resembles that of the movie "Cry Wolf". Mind you, I got lazy at the end, so don't ask. x_x
Never Cry Wolf
------------------
They had been planning their plot for weeks, it was finally time to begin…
“You guys ready?” Ame asked, looking at everyone. Catherine, Jayvon and Josh nodded in response, and so Ame stepped inside the front doors of the huge school and the others followed after her. They all walked up the stairs to C hall, and headed to their first hour class, Civics.
“It’s been a really great year guys. Think about blah kind of people blah blah in blah school year. Blah blah blah blah,” said Mr. Chapp in civics.
“Man, this is boring,” Ame mumbled. A few seats back, Josh was asleep. Catherine was trying to pay attention, and infront of her, Jayvon was staring at Mr. Chapp with a bored look on his face. Finally, the bell rang and all of the students flooded out of the classroom.
“I cannot believe Mr. Smith gave us some homework last night. It’s the last day of school man, ain’t nobody gon’ do that *bleep*,” Josh said in Algebra while the class talked amongst themselves, waiting on instructions from Mr. Smith.
“It’s a miracle, there’s actually no bellwork today,” Catherine said enthusiastically at her desk.
One boy Anthony said, “He probably gon’ write it on the board and act like we was s’posed to be doin’ somethin’.”
Catherine just sighed, and took out a pencil and paper, waiting on just that to happen. Suddenly Mr. Smith reached up to the VCR on the TV and popped in a tape. After a few seconds, the movie started, and the lights were off. Everybody got quiet and stared at the screen.
“Bambi” was on TV. Everybody in the class said something and some people started laughing. Who watches Bambi in the 9th grade?
“Man, this is some bogus *bleep*, I’m ‘bout to go to sleep,” Josh said, then put his head down on the desk and got comfy. A few people laughed at his remark.
“Oooh, I love Bambi!” Ame said.
Jayvon looked at her from across the room and said, “Ame, you’re such a girlie girl. Ame just flipped him off and continued watching the movie.
3rd hour finally came, and according to the plan, Josh left 2nd hour and went into the boys’ bathroom to hide until there was nobody in the hall and he was ready.
“Where’s Josh?” Mrs. Bandfield asked the class, and some people mumbled about not seeing him in the hall. Suddenly, there was a voice on the P.A. It said, “Attention Southfield Lathrup. There is an intruder in the building. This is a lockdown. Please take attendance and proceed with the Lockdown procedure.”
Mrs. Bandfield said, “Hm, 5th one this year. I hope it’s not another pizza guy. Alright guys, line up against the wall and talk amongst yourselves.” Everyone did so while she turned off the light and closed the door.
After about 10 minutes, the door to the classroom opened and in came a guy with a wolf mask on. He had a gun in his hand. He pointed the gun at Mrs. Bandfield, who immediately froze in shock. He said loud and clear, “Nobody move, and nobody gets shot.” The man walked across the room and grabbed Catherine by the arm. She easily was dragged along with him and after looking left and right down the hallway, they were gone. After walking and dodging some people with walky-talkies, the wolf masked guy shoved Catherine into a closet and tied her up nice and tight. He left her there, and went into the boys’ bathroom.
Somewhere else in the building, a tall man dressed in black was slowly walking down L wing, looking into classrooms, and acting cool. Some other people rounded the corner and spotted him, then he took off in he other direction and found himself in an unfamiliar hallway. He had lost the guys chasing him, and came across a storage closet that was acting funny. The door kept bouncing every few seconds, like someone was trying to get out. He opened the door and Catherine fell out and got up quickly. She hopped down the hallway, and the guy stared at her as she went. “Strange school. With even stranger kids.” He turned a corner, walked a few steps and went through a door, leaving the school in terror.
Meanwhile, Josh was having fun terrorizing a classroom full of some people he didn’t like all that much. “Get on the floor!” The class got on the floor. “Stand up!” The class stood up. He pointed his fake gun at one girl and said to her, “start laughin’.” She started laughing a little, then he said “Hahaha, laugh some more.” She started laughing a little more. The girl looked at the wolf mask a little, then started laughing more at the ugly fur it had. Josh started laughing even more, then suddenly pushed the gun against her stomach and said “shut up”. The girl stopped laughing immediately, then someone came through the door. It was the principle, Mrs. Whittaker. She held up a real gun and said “don’t move!”
Josh looked at her and said “Oh *bleep*” and then he dropped the gun. Mrs. Whittaker walked to Josh and pulled off the wolf mask. She pulled him by the ear and left the room.
Josh got suspended, Ame was still a girly girl, Catherine got untied by some random girl and went home, and Jayvon was still the mysterious quiet guy. And he still didn’t like Bambi. The end.
